cyanotype
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process in which a mixture of iron, applied thinly to paper, is exposed to sunlight. After being washed in water, the coated papers oxidise to form blue shadow images. Through numerous experiments with different exposure times and subjects, I discovered my personal interest in the many possibilities of this technique. I am particularly fascinated by the use of light as a compositional tool. The resulting images of translucent glass objects capture the play of shadows and create almost painterly visual worlds.
